Balsamia is a historical synonym for Syrah, a name Christian chose to evoke the balsamic character of the variety. The vines are over 50 years old, rooted in rocky lacustrine limestone mixed with chunks of quartz.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fully ripe grapes are harvested by hand and undergo minimal to virtually no pressing, allowing only the finest and most fragrant free-run juice to fill the large oak barrel. There is no maceration at all: the wine’s intense rosé colour, texture and concentration come directly from the ripe Syrah juice itself. Single vineyard, single plot, single barrel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRaspberry and darker forest berries meet hibiscus, vineyard peach and delicate herbal spice. Juicy yet taut and mineral, with lively structure and a distinctly saline character.
