Volcanic basanite bedrock, ancient sandy sediments and brown forest soils create a distinctive growing environment. The 2023 vintage was particularly challenging, with heavy rainfall and unexpected hail, but healthy grapes were successfully harvested in early September.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAfter destemming, the grapes spent nine days of maceration in 750-litre Tava amphorae before the wine was transferred by gravity into smaller amphorae. Bottled without fining, filtration or added sulphites, with only 1,223 bottles produced.
