Joschuari is one of Gut Oggau’s deepest and most characterful wines: Blaufränkisch from biodynamically farmed vineyards in Burgenland, from the village of Oggau near Lake Neusiedl.

The partly destemmed grapes macerate for seven weeks, building layered structure, earthy spice and fine yet present tannins. Twenty months of aging in used 500-liter barrels brings calm, depth and integration, while the vivid acidity and inner tension of Blaufränkisch remain fully alive. Sour cherry, dark berries, herbs, black tea and a subtle smokiness appear with a long saline-mineral finish.

Bottled unfiltered, unfined and without added sulphur.
