Bleu de Hongrie 2024
A vibrant and exciting Blaufrankisch from limestone terroir, balancing juicy fruitiness with earthy depth and fine structure.
A combination of whole-cluster, destemmed, and direct-pressed portions creates a layered yet lively character: the 50% whole-cluster brings freshness and spiciness, the 25% destemmed portion adds softness, while the 25% direct press makes the wine light and extremely drinkable. After eight days of maceration, it ages for eighteen months in large barrels, which adds complexity and a subtle saline character without making the wine heavy. Cherry, red berry, herbal, and subtly peppery notes unfold with vibrant acidity and a mineral finish.
Bottled unfiltered, unfined, and with only 15 mg/l of added sulfur.
