Graf Sauvignon 2022

A particularly terroir-driven Sauvignon Blanc from biodynamically cultivated, old South Styrian vineyards, on stony Opok soil.

The material from older vines provides a more concentrated and deeper character than the "Sauvignon vom Opok," while the wine retains its precision and vibrant energy. The hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed, then spontaneously fermented in large oval wooden barrels, followed by nearly two years of aging in neutral oak barrels. The result is a layered and mineral wine, where smoky reduction, citrus peel, white-fleshed peach, herbs, and wet stone notes unfold with crystal-clear acidity and a long, saline finish. In addition to its depth and texture, the wine remains elegant, vibrant, and beautifully balanced.

Bottled unfiltered, unfined, and with no added sulfur.
