Graf Sauvignon 2022 Magnum
A particularly terroir-focused Sauvignon Blanc from biodynamically cultivated, old vineyards in Southern Styria, on stony Opok soil.
The fruit from older vines gives a more concentrated and deeper character than the “Sauvignon vom Opok,” while the wine retains its precision and vibrant energy. Hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed, then spontaneously fermented in large oval wooden barrels, followed by nearly two years of aging in neutral oak barrels. The result is a layered and mineral wine, where smoky reduction, citrus peel, white-fleshed peach, herbs, and wet stone notes unfold with crystal-clear acidity and a long, saline finish. Despite its depth and texture, the wine remains elegant, vibrant, and beautifully balanced.
Bottled unfiltered, unfined, and with no added sulfur.
