Himmel auf Erden Rosé 2025
Himmel auf Erden Rosé is made entirely from Blaufränkisch grown in some of Christian Tschida’s highest and coolest vineyard sites. The vines, up to 60 years old, grow on highly decomposed, chalky limestone soils. The grapes are picked on five different harvest days to capture the full aromatic spectrum of the variety.
Harvested by hand, the grapes are pressed extremely gently without any maceration. The pure juice then ferments and ages in a large 2,600-litre oak barrel. Its intense colour and texture therefore come not from skin contact, but from the natural concentration and ripeness of the fruit itself.
A taut and precise rosé with floral spice, delicate layered fruit and a distinctly mineral character. Light yet surprisingly intense and textural, with remarkable purity and a long finish. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, with no added sulphur.
