Madcap Magnus 2019

A deep, textured and complex orange wine from Staffelter Hof, made from old Riesling vines in the Mosel.

Late harvesting brings riper fruit and a more concentrated character, while long fermentation and aging in used barrels slowly build the wine’s layered structure. Dried citrus, orange peel, tea, dried herbs, fine spice and gentle oxidative nuances unfold, held in balance by the taut acidity and stony minerality typical of the Mosel. Rich and serious in tone, yet never heavy, with depth carried by a vivid structure and a long saline finish.

Bottled unfiltered, unfined and without added sulphur.
