Podfuck 2021

An exciting and deeply layered red-white blend from Milan Nestarec, sourced from 35- to 40-year-old vines in Moravia.

Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris co-ferment with Blaufränkisch, followed by three weeks of maceration and three years of aging in large used Stockinger barrels. The long aging brings calm depth and salty-spicy complexity, while the wine keeps its juicy, living and energetic character. Red berries, sour cherry, dried citrus, tea, dried herbs and gently earthy-saline notes unfold in the glass.

Wild and precise at once, with the structure of a red wine and the texture and aromatic play of white varieties. Despite its depth, it remains remarkably fresh.

Made only from free-run juice, bottled unfiltered, unfined and with only 2 mg/l of added sulphur.
