Sauvignon Blanc Legionarin 2023
Mineral and complex Sauvignon Blanc from biodynamically cultivated vineyards in Southern Styria.
The lean slate and marl soil near the Slovenian border gives the wine a special tautness and terroir character, far removed from the overtly tropical style of the varietal. The grapes are direct pressed and then aged for a year in old oak barrels, resulting in a wine with subtle creaminess, calm texture, and exceptional freshness. Notes of lemon peel, stewed apple, herbs, slightly resinous, and wet stone unfold with vibrant acidity and a long, saline finish. Energetic, with a silky texture and strong terroir character.
Bottled unfiltered, unfined, and with no added sulfur.
