Yellow Muscat from Opok 2023
Fresh, yet deeply textured Muskateller, from biodynamically cultivated South Styrian vineyards.
The region's characteristic Opok soil — limestone, clay, and marl — balances the varietal's naturally aromatic character with exceptional freshness, precision, and earthy depth. The hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed, then spontaneously fermented in large oval wooden barrels, followed by approximately twenty months of aging on fine lees in neutral oak barrels. The wine does not move in an overtly perfumed direction; rather, it is focused and elegant: elderflower, citrus peel, mint, apricot, and wet stone notes unfold with vibrant acidity and a long, saline finish.
Bottled unfiltered, unfined, and with no added sulfites.
