Himmel auf Erden Grande Cuvée 2025
Himmel auf Erden Grande Cuvée is one of Christian Tschida’s defining white blends, with its composition evolving from vintage to vintage. In 2025, Grüner Veltliner forms the core of the wine, complemented by Furmint and Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes come from vines up to 60 years old, rooted in lacustrine limestone, including densely planted vineyards partly worked by horse.
The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed extremely gently without maceration. The different varieties are then co-fermented and aged together in a large 2,600-litre oak barrel. Grüner Veltliner provides the backbone and tension, while Furmint and Sauvignon Blanc add further layers and aromatic complexity.
Pure, precise and energetic, with fresh apple-like fruit, delicate texture and a distinctly mineral character. Light on its feet yet concentrated, it beautifully reflects the cool, limestone-rich vineyards that define Tschida’s style. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, with no added sulphur.
