Kék 2023

Kékfrankos is the most important red grape variety of the Balaton region, valued for its versatility and its ability to express the distinctive terroirs of the Balaton Uplands. This wine brings together fruit from two markedly different vineyards: the volcanic soils of Hegyestű on the edge of the Káli Basin and the limestone-rich Király-domb in Pécsely.

The grapes were harvested in three separate passes from late September to early October. The wine was made with whole-cluster fermentation, combining untouched and gently foot-crushed bunches with a significant proportion of directly pressed juice. It was then aged on the fine lees in eight small oak barrels for two years.

Bottled unfined and unfiltered, with no added sulphur.
