Pinot Noir Koregg 2020
Finely structured and deeply mineral Pinot Noir from biodynamically cultivated vineyards in Southern Styria.
The lean, silicon-rich slate soil of the steep Koregg vineyard imparts a riper fruitiness to the wine compared to the cooler Hochegg area, while maintaining its distinct freshness and precision. The grapes are destemmed, then macerated for approximately two weeks, followed by one year of aging in old oak barrels, which gives the wine silky tannins, earthy depth, and a calm complexity. Wild strawberry, sour cherry, cranberry, dried herb, and smoky-stony notes unfold with vibrant acidity and a long, saline finish. Elegant and powerful, yet lively and extremely drinkable.
Bottled unfiltered, unfined, and with no added sulfur.
